- Amazing clarity and transparency

My first impression for the player was: Wow! Amazing Clarity and transparency! The amplifier was clearly louder and more powerful than the iBasso DX50's.
In my opinion, the player needs to be burned in. At the beginning, the treble was too sharp and the base a little loose compared to the DX50. The vocals was also a little recessed ...perhaps due to the increased clarity of the background instruments. It made my music a little too analytic for my taste.
After burning my player for about 90 hours the treble sheen tapered down and the base tightened. The vocals in my ballad and K-pop tracks began to shine once again.
I would recommend the DX90 to anybody looking for a player that delivers on clarity, transparency and neutrality!Performance Build Quality Value For Money - Affordable player with Amazing sound

It's been over a week since I got this player and the more I burn in, the more impressed I am with the sound. Listening to my favourite tracks again bring out details I didn't hear before. The clarity, separation and soundstage is really impressive. My only complaint is the mediocre battery life which is about 6 hours +. Overall, this is a awesome player that won't break a hole in your pocket.
Performance Build Quality Value For Money - Better than expected

Compared to the FiiO X3, this is a whole lot more transparent, very neutral, adds no colouration to the sound. It might be clinical with some hi-resolution tracks, but there is no faulting the clarity.
Main gripes would be the short battery life - but that's nitpicking as the battery is removable and replaceable anyways.
Overall an excellent DAP choice, could I say value for money?Performance Build Quality Value For Money
