- Maximum Bass for Bassheads
-
These are really really bass oriented cans. These can and will produce more than satisfying amount of bass enough for any basshead. However, this might be seen to come at a cost at somewhat veiled mids. These have a V-shaped response. The ATH-PRO700MK2 are also really tough built although its made of plastic, as they are not any cheap plastics. The package comes with a coiled and straight cable which is screwed into the left cup.
However, these may not be the most comfortable cans out there. I would give it a 2-3/5 for comfort as these clamp pretty tight and I can't wear them for too long. Padding is quite minimal as a result and my ears were touching the drivers. Hopefully they loosen up over time to resolve this issue I face. Luckily, I managed to remedy by using the ATH-M50 earpads.
Pros:
Excellent Bass (Deep Punch and is quite fast)
Somewhat Sparkly treble
Build quality
2 cables included
Isolation ( due to sheer clamping force )
Short 1.2m cable
Rubber finish on cups
Cons:
Mids are veiled / hidden
Comfort
Above average clarity
Overall, I would say these are the best basshead cans you can get for your money. However, if you are looking for a reference headphone, I don't think these are the best.
Highly recommended for bassheads!Performance Build Quality Value For Money
