LCM/LUF-BD4.2 is the new top of the line in-ear monitors from LEAR, built and designed with 6 drivers, 3 way crossover with adjustable bass and 4 individual sound bore.
Hybrid IEM designs have always been very difficult to implement properly because dynamic drivers are more difficult to volume match, have higher impedance compared to balance armature drivers and are much larger in size.
After 2 years of hard work after the release of the LCM-5, LEAR has finally completed their newest masterpiece, the LCM/LUF-BD4.2.
The LCM/LUF-BD4.2 have precision matched dual dynamic and quadriple balance armature drivers in the following configuration:
- 2x dynamic drivers for low and super low
- 2x balanced armature drivers for mids
- 2x balance armature drivers for highs
In order to have a 1 model fit all characteristic for music listeners from all walks of life, the LEAR has designed a sophisticated crossover circuit that allows the adjustment of bass electronically, unlike many other bass adjustable IEMs, which have the bass adjusted through the use of an screw adjustable bass port. This design, while very similar to the JH Audio Roxanne, is much better implemented since the bass adjustment knob is on the IEM itself and not inline along the cable, allowing the ability to easily upgrade cables for better fine tuning of audio characteristics.
Users can go from reference sound by adjusting the bass dial to minimum, or go to toe tapping bass thump by increase the bass amount but turning the bass dial clockwise.LEAR is proud to say that the LCM/LUF-BD4.2 is designed, tuned and made in Hong Kong!
